Here’s what bookmakers have set for Week 7:

Jalen Ramsey Rams Props

After losing their third consecutive game, the Los Angeles Rams felt like shaking things up ahead of their Week 7 matchup against Atlanta. First, they acquired Browns center Austin Corbett in exchange for a 2021 fifth-round draft pick. Next, they dealt cornerback Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for linebacker Kenny Young. The two moves eventually took a back seat to the day’s blockbuster, which saw the Rams send two first-round draft picks (2020, 2021) and one fourth-rounder (2021) to the Jacksonville Jaguars for cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The Jaguars have been looking for a trade partner to take Ramsey ever since their disgruntled employee pratically demanded a trade last month.

By sacrificing two first-round picks to upgrade their secondary, the Rams are looking at five consecutive years without a first-round selection. This has allowed some Tweeps to have some fun at Sean McVay’s expense.

Ramsey has nine career interceptions but didn’t add to that tally through his first three games this season. Oddsmakers are pretty confident he won’t pick off Matt Ryan this weekend in Atlanta or, if he doesn’t suit up, whomever his first opposing quarterback may be.

Week 7 and Season-Long Quarterback Props

The Bengals are 0-6 on the season and competing with the Miami Dolphins for next spring’s top overall pick. Injuries to the receiving corps have done Andy Dalton no favors and it doesn’t look like A.J. Green will return to face the Jaguars this week. However, Dalton is averaging 274.5 pass yards per game and the Ramsey-less Jacksonville secondary has allowed 241.5 pass yards per game this season. BetOnline offers a prop this week of whether Dalton throws for UNDER 100 yards against Jacksonville.

Of those quarterbacks who have started every game this season, Seattle’s Russell Wilson is the only one without an interception. In fact, he’s only thrown two picks over his past 16 regular-season and playoff games dating back to last year. The Ravens secondary has five interceptions to date but did add Marcus Peters in an effort to upgrade their pass defense.

Baker Mayfield has thrown at least one interception in each of the Browns’ six games and after three more against the Seahawks last week, he actually managed to jump Jameis Winston as the league leader in picks. Granted, not every interception is Baker’s or Jameis’ fault, but it did have oddsmakers thinking that the Browns’ franchise quarterback could finish the season ahead of Winston in the embarrassing stat.

To add salt to Mayfield’s open wound, Lamar Jackson – once thought of as a run-only quarterback – has thrown as many touchdown passes this season as Baker has interceptions. While you let that marinate, Jackson has also rushed for 460 yards or 76.6 yards per game. If he keeps up that clip, he’ll smoke Michael Vick’s single-season rushing record by a quarterback of 1,039 yards. So, oddsmakers have paired the initial prop bet below with: “How many yards will Lamar Jackson finish with at season’s end? Over / Under 1,000 yards” with -120 vig on both sides.

NFL Job Security Props

Now that Jay Gruden learned of his firing at 5 o’clock in the morning, odds are out on which NFL head coach will earn a pink slip next. Following a loss at Arizona, Atlanta’s Dan Quinn was promoted to favorite to be the next coach canned at +150. The Falcons head coach is under fire after the Falcons’ 1-5 start with no signs of weekly improvement. Yet, based on Browns front office moves in the past, don’t sleep on Freddie Kitchens at +700 if Cleveland doesn’t work itself out of this quagmire in the next few weeks.

The top two quarterbacks of the 2015 draft are in danger of losing their starting gigs permanently if they don’t show signs of progress the rest of the season. Marcus Mariota was benched in favor of Ryan Tannehill at Denver last weekend and now the former Miami Dolphins quarterback will start this weekend against the Chargers, leaving Mariota to hold the clipboard. Jameis Winston tossed five picks last weekend in London to make it 10 interceptions this season and 68 INTs in only 62 games played. These regressions make oddsmakers wonder if either Mariota or Winston has any job security leading into the 2020 season.

New England Patriots Props

The Patriots played one of their worst games and still smoked the Giants by 21 points. With a Monday night game against the Jets on the horizon, you’d fully expect the Patriots’ odds to finish 16-0 to improve again next week.
